Question

On my desktop, I want direct MSN Client shortcuts to the Address Book, the Calendar, the Favorites and the Email composer.

After installing the MSN Client, you have some shortcuts to open the MSN client browser and the MSN Mail client. If you want to place on your destop direct shortcuts to the Calendar, the Address Book, the Favorites Manager, or the Mail composer, here is how you should proceed:

!!! The steps below are NOT recommended by Microsoft, even though we successfully went through the stages, we cannot be responsible if you encounter any problems. !!!

1- First unhide all files and folders  >>> see tutorial here

2- Browse to your C:\Program Files\Msn\MSNCoreFiles\ and look for "msn.exe" if you don't see it, use a third part file explorer like Windows Commander for example. Tounhide all files and folders with Windows Commander go to Configuration > Options > Display > Show all Hidden/System Files

3-Create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on "msn.exe"

4-Now go on your desktop and right click on the shortcut you just created > choose property

5- You will need to modify the "Target" and "Start in" fields
