In order to find the email messages
that the MSN Mail client automatically backs up, you will need to
unhide all folders.
Step 1 - Unhide
all files and folders
- In order to do so, go to Start
and choose My Computer and
select the Tool link
at the top
-Go to the View
tab and check the box that says "Show hidden files and folders"
Step 2 - Find your
Archives
- Now you simply have
to navigate to :
C:\Documents and
Settings\YourName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Msn\db
You will find all your
email in the [db] folder, right click on the message and select
either MSN Client to open them or the Notepad
In the same way, unhide
all files and folders and then navigate to:
C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Msn*\UserData\{********}
